BIO

Teal Holliday is a New York–based performer, writer, and director working across theatre, cabaret, film, commercials, and live artistic production. Raised in Kansas City, she found her voice early through competitive forensics, choir, and live comedy, learning quickly how language, timing, and audience shape a room. She entered the city’s professional theatre scene before moving to New York, where she trained at AMDA in 2018 completing their conservatory program and is currently completing her BFA.

In New York, Teal found her way into the cabaret world, earning recognition as a finalist in So You Think You Can Belt. Alongside live performance, she has worked in film and commercial projects for PBS, The Ad Council (national campaign), and AMC, bringing humor, emotional specificity, and grounded presence to the screen. Whether she’s singing, acting on camera, directing, or producing, she approaches the work with a practical understanding of how creative ideas actually get made.

Just before the pandemic, Teal chose to step away from performing. During that pause, she expanded her creative life through directing, event production, and cofounding Thee Color Block, a performance series rooted in experimentation, access, and community. A recent return to AMDA to complete the BFA program reignited her love for performance and clarified what she wants from it now.

Curious, collaborative, and fluent in multiple creative languages, Teal Holliday understands the industry from several angles and believes the best work happens when rigor meets play. She’s willing to try anything twice.
